These days, the name of the game is trying to save MONEY! Who doesn't want to do that? The easiest way to save money is by couponing for the stuff you use everyday! Since I have been off work, I have learned to do pretty well with just that. A lot of my friends have asked my process and I want to do that with this blog. I hope you enjoy reading and learn LOTS!! Thanks for stoppin' by!

Awesome Couponing Day!

I ventured out with my 2 year old, Callie Jo, this afternoon to do some un-planned couponing and it worked out very nicely! Here is a break-down of my deals from Rite Aid!

4 bottles of Nivea body wash=
On sale for $3.99
Used 4 $3 coupons making each just .99!
BUT if you spent $15 on those body washes you got back $5!
So total spent $3.96 and got back $5 in Up+Rewards.

U by Kotex thin liner 18ct.
On sale for $1.69 with BOGO 50% off.
Made both $2.53
Used 2 $1/1 coupons making both just .53!

Bic Mark-It Permanant Marker "Color Collection" 8 ct.
On clearance for 50% off
Total= $2.49!

I also wanted to take advantage of the sales on cleaning products but unfortunatly my store was out of almost everything so I decided to try sale matching at Walmart for a spin! Here is a breakdown of that trip!

Bounty 8ct. Paper towels
On sale at RA for $6.49 (Normally over $12 at walmart!)

Scott Toilet Tissue 12ct. Extra Soft
Normally priced at $6.49 (Actually cheaper than the sale price at RA!!)
Used $1/1 Coupon printed from the video values site from Rite Aid (This was a manufacturers coupon)
Making it $5.49

Purex Fabric Softener Crystals
On sale for BOGO Free at RA.
I also was able to use a coupons.com coupon for $1/1 AND one from a flyer for $2/1 also.
They are normally $3.49 so I got both for $3.49
Minus my $3 in coupons
=.49 for both!! YAY!

Anyone else get some great deals this week?!? Post them below!!

  1. You're amazing! Where do you get your coupons? I got a Sunday paper on Sunday and of course there were none in it because of the holiday!

  2. Hey thanks!! Its totally fun and addicting!!

Aw! I hate that! I usually get my coupons from both the Herald Leader and the Courier Journal. The Journal is cheaper ($9/month) but I also have my mamaw save me her inserts from the HL. Here a while back they had a deal for $11 but Im not sure if it is still avaliable.

I also print them from coupons.com and redplum.com and smartsource.com and load coupons to my kroger card from kroger.com, shortcuts.com,and cellfire.com

    Hope that helps!
